We get asked a huge range of questions — which we love, because it shows how much interest there is in what we do. To help you get quick answers (and to save you waiting for a reply), we’ve put together our most common FAQs. If you can’t see your question here, please get in touch — we’ll be happy to help.

Q: How much notice do I need to give to book in?
A: As much as possible. We are usually very busy with both retail and commercial work, so the more notice you can give, the better.
That said, we’ll always try to accommodate urgent jobs where we can. For example, if wheels are brought in loose and clean, we can sometimes slot them between other projects. For commercial or production runs, we’ll agree a schedule in advance to keep your supply chain moving.
Q: Can I bring my lease car wheels in before I return it?
A: Absolutely. Lease companies often charge extremely high fees for wheel damage — sometimes replacing the whole wheel rather than repairing it.
We can refurbish wheels for a fraction of those costs. Book your slot well before your return date, as we do get booked up in advance.
Q: What items can you powder coat?
A: Almost any metal item that can withstand the heat of the curing process.
We regularly coat:
– Alloy wheels and motorcycle parts
– Architectural and hardware components
– Engineering and manufacturing parts
– Furniture and decorative pieces
– Specialist equipment and prototypes
If you’re unsure whether we can coat it, just ask. We also offer Cerakote® for projects that require ultra-thin, high-performance coatings.
Q: Where can I go when it's just a quick job?
A: If you’re dropping off for a short job, there’s a Morrisons supermarket with a café just 100 yards away.
For larger or commercial projects, we’ll agree on collection/delivery times in advance.
Q: Can we refurbish split rims?
A: Yes — we can fully refurbish split rims, with each component prepared and coated separately to ensure the highest quality finish.
Q: Why aren’t there any prices on the website?
A: Every job is different. The size, condition, preparation requirements, and finish all affect the price. We believe in transparent, fair pricing and will always provide a clear quote before starting.
For commercial work, we can offer structured pricing for repeat orders or production runs.
Q: Do you offer sampling for commercial projects?
A: Yes — we can produce sample pieces or test runs so you can assess finish quality, colour match, and suitability before full production.
Q: Do I need to clean my items before bringing them in?
A: You don’t have to, but it helps. If dirt, grease, or debris is covering the surface, we can’t assess the condition properly, and it may lead to extra charges for cleaning. Bringing items in clean and ready for preparation helps us work more efficiently — and may save you money.
Q: Do you work with high-value or specialist projects?
A: Yes — from rare alloy wheels to precision-engineered commercial components, we work to exacting standards.
Many of our clients are ISO-certified companies or operate under strict quality requirements. We can work under NDAs and provide process documentation where needed.
Q: Do you offer warranty?
A: Yes — we offer a 12-month warranty for standard wheel refurbishments and 6 months for diamond-cut finishes.
For commercial work, warranty terms are agreed on a project-by-project basis depending on use and environment.
Q: How long does powder coating last?
A: It depends on the condition of the item before coating and how it’s used.
Well-prepared and properly coated items can last for many years, especially with regular cleaning and maintenance.
Wheels and exterior parts are exposed to harsher conditions, so protective care is important.
